NEW MODEL BATTERY CHARGER CBE CB516-3 FOR CAMPERS AND BOATING
The CBE CB516-3 switching battery charger ?CB500-3? series is able to charge lead batteries (lead-acid, lead-gel, AGM) on board the camper automatically and with innovative charging phases. The battery charger is protected from overtemperature and the 12V outputs are protected from short circuit and polarity inversion.
The CBE CB516-3 is also intended to replace the CBE CB516 model.
SIX-CYCLE CHARGING SYSTEM FOR 12V BATTERIES
- Desulfator: when the battery charger is turned on, only if the battery needs it, it is charged at a voltage of 15.2V until the current exceeds 2A or in any case for a maximum of 2 hours.
- Bulk: battery charge with maximum current until the end-of-charge voltage is reached. NB: the end of charge is reached only if the battery is efficient.
- Absorption: complete battery charge, with constant end-of-charge voltage for the time defined by the charging line with progressive reduction of current.
- Float: maintenance charge at constant voltage for a maximum of 15 hours. High battery absorption causes the Bulk phase to restart.
- Stand-by: the charger no longer supplies energy and switches to the Refresh phase only when the battery voltage drops below 13V.
- Refresh: the battery is charged at the Bulk charging voltage, for a maximum of 1 hour; this phase is designed to compensate for the self-discharge of the battery during any prolonged periods of inactivity of the camper.
Subsequently, the charging restarts from the Float phase. The high frequency switching technology allows to obtain high efficiency with reduced weight and dimensions.
