The A910/6 charger is designed to recharge lead-acid starter or stationary (gel) batteries, for use
continuous and connected in a buffer system:
- It can remain connected to the 230V network continuously, as the system automatically selects the charge in relation to the battery status.
- If the battery with at least 3V is not connected, the system will not function.
- The charging system takes place in three cycles:
1. charge the battery at maximum current until the end of charge of 14.5V is reached (red LED).
NB. The end of the charge is reached only if the battery is efficient.
2. Timed completion charge at a constant 14.5V for a time of: 20 min. (PB batt.), 6 hours and 20 min. (gel batt.).
3. Maintenance 13.8V constant (green LED) This ensures the maintenance current for a full charge.
In this phase the system partially powers the thyristors so as to reduce the voltage peak to almost zero.
When the battery drops below a value of approximately 13.6V, also due to the insertion of a load (users), the system restarts from phase 2.
An electronic device disconnects all 12V utilities when the service battery reaches the minimum voltage level of 10V. It is possible to restore them for about a minute by turning the main switch on the control panel off and on again.
The trivalent refrigerator, electric step, heating / boiler are excluded from this device.
