The water drain is at the same level as the base of the spinner. I have to tilt it forward and to the right for mire water to exit. I find after run ing the spinner 2 times. I still have to wring out excess water before moving it to a drying rack. Two washes with one oz. Of liquid clothes cleaner and the a rinse with a small amount of softerner. The clothes do smell good when dry.
