GasCube is a detector of harmful gas leaks (LPG and Carbon Monoxide) and protection against theft through the use of narcotic gases. GasCube has been produced to warn of danger, the crew sleeping inside recreational vehicles or vehicles dedicated to work. GasCube is permanently installed in the vehicle. Up to 2 additional sensors can be connected to GasCubeTwin for even greater security.
The CARBEST GasCube is able to:
Detect gases at very low concentrations and warn of harmful gases long before they have an effect on humans and animals
Waking up people sleeping in a camper or caravan with an alarm signal and drawing their attention to the escaping gas
with a special sensor technology GasCube reacts very sensitively to gases with narcotic and anaesthetic effects.
CORRECT OPERATION
For correct functioning it is important:
that the ambient air does not contain, as far as possible, incriminating gases
that the GasCube is installed approximately 100cm from the floor
that the sensor is checked regularly for its functioning
OPERATION
The GasCube is switched on by lightly pressing the button on the housing. After switching on the GasCube, a self-test is started and the correct functioning of the electronics and the sensors is checked. This is indicated by a short flashing of the LEDs and a long beep. Immediately afterwards the GasCube performs a calibration of the sensor technology. This is indicated by the flashing blue LED. This phase lasts two to four minutes. When the calibration is complete, the LED will be permanently lit.
ALARM
When the GasCube detects a gas concentration in the ambient air, the unit generates a pre-alarm. During the pre-alarm, an intermittent tone will be heard and the red LED will start flashing. The pre-alarm lasts for 40 seconds. During this time, the GasCube monitors how the gas concentration changes. If the gas concentration remains the same or becomes higher after the pre-alarm, the GasCube will return to standby mode and the blue LED will light up.
